DETAILS OF SERVICE
The STROKE DAY SERVICE (SDS) is a community-based programme for people
post stroke. The day service will run one day a week in the Cork
Stroke Support Centre providing a mixture of group exercise classes,
individual physiotherapy sessions, mental stimulation activities and
socialisation. The Senior Physiotherapist will be required to lead out
in the development planning, implementation and evaluation of the SDS
including education of the MDT team and support workers.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP The post holder will report to the Clinical
Governance Advisor / sub committee affiliated to the CSS Board of
Management.
PURPOSE OF THE POST
To provide a Stroke day service mirrored on the Kerry SDS which will
meet the physical, psychological and emotional needs of stroke
survivors and their families.
